Stevens Toy Cast Iron Dresser
What males this early J&E Stevens Company miniature cast iron dresser such a great “find” is its excellent overall condition. The toy retains the original ornate swivel mirror, all six original cast iron drawer pulls and much of the original red paint. Adding to the toy’s appeal is the heart motif on the dresser top and drawer fronts, as well as a penciled note found in the top drawer that traces the toy’s history from Great-Great Aunt Clara Hedges to Great Aunt Grace Fisk Monroe and Uncle Roy to their niece Arene. The dresser is 10-3/4” h X 4-5/8” w X 3-1/4” d. Turn-of-the-20th century.
