SOLD Early 20th c. Tabletop Cupboard

Early 20th c. Tabletop Cupboard
I love small cupboards for their versatility and charm. This late 19th to early 20th c. example offers both. With dimensions of 28½” H X 15″ W X 8¾” D and five interior 7″-deep shelves (counting the bottom board) it could stand on a desk or bedside table, sideboard or kitchen counter, or even on a deep windowsill, and hold everything from notepaper and pens to sewing notions to napkin rings. The cupboard sits on cutout legs, as the photos show, and is decorated with a bulls eye motif and what appears to be the original ox-blood red paint on the door. The piece features mitered molding, some tenon construction and small round and irregular cross-hatch nails, which suggest that it’s European. Very good sturdy condition.
