Small German Noah’s Ark
This small wooden ark is simply decorated with painted windows on all sides. The painted “hinged” roof is held together with a strip of tape. On the underside of the roof someone has written the name “Edna.” For me, the charm of the piece comes from the six tiny passengers that were with it when I found it: a dog, a pig, a horse, a steer, a goat with a missing horn and a chicken that needs an assist to stand. The ark measures 6-1/2″ L X 2″ W by 2-1/2″ H.
