African American Doll or Crib Quilt
By virtue of its size, this small, richly hued quilt was no doubt intended as a doll or crib quilt. In fact, an old hand written note stitched to the quilt reads “Grandma made for me when I was little.” Pattern combines a house top variation and 12-patch form. Yarn-tied instead of quilted. Hard-to-find item. Good condition. 1920s-30s
