19th c. Child Size Painted Cupboard
This early hand crafted child size cupboard is as charming as they come from the extensive carving to the stenciled door fronts to the surprising drop down storage bin. This well made piece features an open shelf and door covered storage above the drop down bin and three drawers, with chamfered bottoms. What’s really fun are the two early signatures on the inside of the top door — WILLIAM G. and what appears to be the name MONARCH — with the initials FRT below — possibly the names of the maker and the lucky recipient. This is an East Texas piece, in excellent good condition, with its original surface and drawer pulls and one very small repair to a chipped piece of wood. Measurements are 23-3/4″ W X 8″ D X 30″ H. Late 1800s to 1900.
