Perky Black Bottle Doll in Red, White & Blue
From a Louisiana collection comes this delightful black bottle doll with a big toothy smiles. She’s made of black stockinette and is dressed in a crisp white apron over a red, white and blue blouse and a printed blue skirt. She has embroidered features (including embroidered teeth) and mitten hands and wears a dark pink kerchief on her broad head. Her bottle “base” is filled with sand. American, c. 1930s
