One of my absolute favorite recent finds is this early horse-drawn sulky-and-driver pull toy. Completely hand crafted, the piece is made of painted, carved pine and retains its original red, yellow and dusky blue surface. The harness and bridle are “leatherette,” while the reins are strips of fabric, and the horse’s tail and mane are lambs wool. The toy stands 10 high and is 25” long and 7-1/2” wide. Found at a farm sale near Boonville, Missouri. C. 1930s.
