Antique Hand-Carved Wooden Horse


Carved from a single hard wood block, this early piece of folk art is distinguished by its strong form and details such as the carved saddle blanket and applied leather ears. The original legs are missing, but the carving retains its appeal. Dimensions are 9” L X 6-5/8” H X 2-1/2” W. Collected in Guatemala. 19th century.
