SOLD 19th c. Child’s Ledger Drawing


If you like early children’s drawings or interesting ledger art, this charming example may be for you. Using ink and watercolors, the unknown artist has rendered a storybook version of a lizard on a fragment of early ledger paper. The drawing itself is 7-1/2” X 1-3/4” while the framed piece is 11-3/4” X 6-1/2”. The frame is early and “right” but may not be original to the piece. Fourth-quarter 1800s.
