18thc. Miniature Apprentice-Made Chest
Collected in Baltimore some 25 to 30 years ago, this miniature three-drawer walnut chest is apprentice-made and dates from 1785 to 1820. The few nails that are visible appear to be hand pounded. An old break on the middle drawer is mended with beeswax. Drawer pulls are original. Some warping over time, but great patina.
